Dear Kind German 2008-2008 wiki editor: can we get the lovely stats from the previous years' pages back on the bottom of this new page? That would be great.
Thanks for all your work. Best of luck to everybody on the market this year!

Done!

dear armer heinrich, yup. I (the requestee) took care of it myself...

Is anyone else having serious problems with this site? I can't edit the main page. Also, if you use the URL
http://wikihost.org/wikis/academe/wiki/german_2008-2009/ (with a trailing backslash) instead of
http://wikihost.org/wikis/academe/wiki/german_2008-2009, you get a "moved permanently" error with a link to the same error-causing URL. It might be time to switch to Scratchpad after all.

Can the discussion page be edited so that the newest entries are at the top of the page?
From: armerheinrich2008-09-29 22:22
I'm getting close to opening a new German wiki elsewhere. The inability to edit pages at random times is starting to drive me crazy.
From: armerheinrich2008-09-29 22:28
Ha ha. Now it's working again. As if there wasn't enough to drive us crazy already.

The note about the University of Illinois at UC is now moved here from the main page:
"Beware! Go and check the entry on link
http://wikihost.org/wikis/academe/wiki/black_listed_universities_and_colleges!"Sad experience tells me that you will find similar surprises with most positions advertised in any given year. Let's keep malicious gossip where it belongs

Has anyone heard anything about Wellesley's "early campus interviews" in October and November?
From: Anonymous [IP: 78.43.174.108]2008-10-23 15:40
Would you please tell us what the comment about the university of Illinois was? The link does not contain any information. Other applicants might be interested in hearing what the "beware!" stands for..
From: Anonymous [IP: 87.112.225.57]2008-10-24 16:40
I agree. Why be so secretive? Nobody is going to trace your IP address back to you. If there is a reason to "beware" that particular department, at least inform us as to why.

Has anyone else had problems logging in to the job list
in the last 24 hours?
From: Anonymous [IP: 77.68.36.52]2008-10-29 20:37
Sorry! What I meant by "moving the link" was just that: I moved the entire text and link to this page (it's the section in quotes). I didn't delete anything
Oh, wait, I see the problem

Here is the link people were asking about:
http://wikihost.org/wikis/academe/wiki/black_listed_universities_and_collegesScroll down and you'll find the entry. It was also posted here:
http://scratchpad.wikia.com/wiki/Universities_to_fear. But this entry has been deleted various times.

Thanks for making it available!

I'm not able to edit the page so that the updates are in a list underneath the name of the institution. Anybody know why?
From: Anonymous [IP: 68.51.89.199]2008-11-13 14:51
Since the page is not letting us put updates on the next line, I've italicized them so that it's still possible to see them quickly if scrolling. Any objections?

Thank you to whomever managed to put the additions on lines below!
