Garden work
On Aug 27, we used stakes and flags to lay out the four pods, shed and pavillion. Some of the flags were missing, so we took most of the remaining ones up and sawed off stakes, leaving enough to mark pod centers and edges. We also came up with a preliminary plan for placing the trenches for water pipes. Since we want to be able to switch between city water and rain water, we are going to have a rain water expert look at our plan.

KAB Grant
Some of our priorities have changed since we submitted a budget to KAB. James is going to send an email asking for permission to reallocate funds. He is also going to explore the option of using KAB as a fiscal sponsor so that donations will be tax deductible.

Dues
We decided upon a $20./year membership fee and a $20./year plot rental fee. That should pay for our monthly water bill (estimated at $40.) with some left over. Membership forms will include a section where members can pledge extra money for other garden projects ie. rain barrels, landscaping, sponsor a gardener.

Meeting schedule
We will continue to have workdays on Saturdays at 7:00 a.m. Steering Committee will meet after the workdays at 9:00 on 1st and 3rd Saturdays.
