Quick responses. Editor (David Yamane) is working hard to raise the status of this journal.
Historically, the Journal for the Scientific Study of Religion has had higher visibility. My impression is that JSSR
has also published more quantitative stuff and SOR more qualitative stuff. SOR turnaround seems much
faster than JSSR.

I submitted my paper at the time they were switching publishers. The editor did a great job letting me know that my responses would be delayed as a result. There was still a quick turn around. The reviews were not very helpful, although the editor's summary and suggestions for other outlets were.

2010-Very fast turn-around. R&R after 4.5 weeks with very helpful feedback. Four reviewers.
