This is an alphabetical list of remakes of the ZX Spectrum game Chaos, by Julian Gollop.
I have started a "Chaos Remakes Wiki" at Wikia:

- Anarchy was an attempt at making a 3D Chaos, unfortunately unfinished. Cute in a low-fi way.

- Ataxia II (and its prequel, Ataxia) by Duncan Timiney. Development notes are hosted at this wiki, and a more formal site is at

- Chaos Flash version very true to the original version of chaos, made using Flash MX for browser based play.

- Chaos Funk is a pretty faithful remake with nice crisp graphics (based directly on the originals).

- Chaos Groove by Richard Phipps. Rich has started development on a new version of Chaos Bass and renamed it Chaos Groove! -

- Chaos Reborn, developed by Erik Benerdal, has gorgeous anime-style sprites and all the whoosh-bang effects I wish I knew how to program. It's not 100% finished yet and thankfully he hasn't messed with the original rules too much.

- Chaos Remake, unfinished, by Jason Farmer. I like the spellbook-looking spellbook.

- Cyber Battles. Internet multiplayer sci-fi version. No-one was logged in when I registered, so don't know what this is like yet.

- Disorder at RetroDev. Some novel ideas, such as magic wood/shadow forest being made from pre-existing trees, a fog of war on a larger scrolling map, and, well, big eggs.

- Corpse Wars, also at RetroDev, also based on Chaos but looks like a 3D artillery game (deformable terrain?), unfortunately no plans to release it to the public.
- A GBA port, by R. Quirk.

- Out of Chaos. Coded by Sinister Systems. This is a 'integrated remake' of two classic Spectrum games, Out of the Shadows, and Chaos. -

- The style of floor tiling in Out of Chaos reminds me of the Heroquest boardgame. Quite exciting looking.
- Realtime Chaos allows multiple players to play together over a server... but in realtime! Haven't tried it yet.

- Total Chaos. I remember playing Total Chaos AGA on the Amiga during the late 90s, and apparently this series is still going strong.
