During the 'golden era' of wrestling games (i.e. the THQ games on the N64) Derek and I created a bunch of characters (ostensibly wrestlers and their valets).
They later found life in the Sims and Sims 2, and really in any game where you can make your own characters.
They are distinct from the characters in the DAWDVKT Glossary in that they have never appeared in any doodle books.
Vernon blunders through life, barely aware of what is happening around him.
His original RAW appearance was that of a thin, woollen-capped fighter with a sickly green complexion. He may have been called Vernon 'Ineptitude' Robber.
On the N64 games he became really beefy and lantern-jawed (as all the male wrestlers in those games were.)
At all times he sported a ridiculous handle-bar moustache and had pretty poor fashion sense.
His gimmick was that of a british bank robber attempting a bank heist over in the states, but somehow always wound up dashing into a wrestling venue instead.
Terribly, terribly stupid in an endering way.
His signature move is the STO; a combination trip and clothesline that forces the opponents head into the ground.
Edit: Just remembered that STO stands for 'Space Tornado Ogawa'.
A very big Texan guy who went by the name of Mr Splat at some point. Rather a dull character really but meant to be quite the 'face' and 'fan favourite'.
Has dark hair and typical texan complextion. Whatever that might be.
Wears a white shirt thing, black leather trousers and one of those string tie things.
The focus moves wise was on the really big extravagent side. Chokeslams, Powerbombs, Gorilla Press.. etc.
Oh and a few technical ones too from his amateur background.
Special move? The BIIIG SPLAT of course. (a piledriver from shoulder height)
Known Aliases - Mr Splat, Splatster
Known Allies - Jessie Falkner, Arai Kigoto
Known Enemies - Philip (quite) Goode. AKA The Crippler
Faction: Splat Pack
Girlfriend then Wife of Jim Reiner. A cute brown haired girl fond of short denim hotpants, and a denim jacket. Was the manager of Jim Reiner.
Then they had a romantic relationship and got married. Basically. After marriage her image was somewhat less sleazy.
Her move style was generally fairly fast and roughneck type.
Known Allies: Jim Reiner, Arai Kigoto
Known Enemies: Philip (quite) Goode. (Who abducted her once in a feud with Jim)
Faction: Splat Pack
Started life as a valet (struggled for a name during the character creation, hence a generic A. Manager)
Dresses like a mopey goth quite by accident; her four THQ costumes were 'Goth Schoolgirl', 'Goth Boxer', 'Just Goth' and another one; but she probably doesn't know what the goth scene even is.
Green, short hair; very pale complexion. Voice is raspy as though her larynx has been burnt by too many cigarretes (although she doesn't smoke.)
As a valet she can be pretty cruel. Sadistic, in fact. Her wrestling moves were predominantly submission holds; the cozier the better.
She doesn't like music. Or things in general.
There is a tendancy in, for example, beat 'em up games for female characters to be of the fast-but-weak profile.
And yet the characters whose very defninition is speed are always male; Sonic, The Flash, etc.
So in Smackdown I made a woman who was just all speed, which was mostly roleplayed when the game limited her.
Her background is in the japanese wrestling circuit and she wears flame patterned trousers with a bandage-wrap top.
Her personality is defined by her name, and she probably does a lot of amphetamines.
Appeared once or twice in Smackdown. Her special move was "You're Under Arrest!"
Started as a quick test character for Sims and Sims 2; became quite popular with me.
I think she used to be a pirate.
In her current form she has blond wavy hair and red eyes.
She was recently killed in a dishwasher-repair accident.
I took an old character of mine from Kendricks GURPS campaign and put him into Sims 2.
He's a bit like Darkus Howe mixed with a member of the victorian gentry.
His surname comes from an Amiga disk recovery utility.
