Obi's handsome features come to life, looking perhaps seriously at Diomedes. "Yes? Who calls." He asks, prior to opening the contact fully. Behind him his trump portrait is rearranging into another setting...

"It's Diomedes, Obi" came the reply from the Son of Brand. "I'm glad to finally reach *somebody*" he admits. Diomedes relaxes visibly and then adds. "I thought I was going to have to use Plan E."

"I won't ask about B, C and D for the moment. Who else have you tried?" he asked.

"Theia, Dad, and then Random." Diomedes says evenly. "One wouldn't answer, the second couldn't answer, and the third didn't answer. Maybe I should have called you first and saved me some grief." Diomedes pauses. "Where are you, anyway? And did Miho reach you?"

"I'm at Aunt Flora's residence in Shadow. Apparently looking for family in Shadow, while it works, isn't a precise science," Obi smiled. "Uncle Eric is here as well, as is Miho, who's been traveling with me recently."

"Aunt Flora and Uncle Eric" Diomedes said, in clear puzzlement. "So you haven't found Corwin after all?"

"Would they mind another guest? I am in the middle of nowhere...and I have news that they might want to hear as well as our cousins."

"Let me ask, cousin," Obi hedges. "Aunt Flora? Diomedes offers news. Might he join us?"

Diomedes smiles and awaits the results of his query.

The messenger smiles at Miho who's now standing with her hand on his shoulder.

Obi stands, providing room of his cousin's entry and offers a hand. "Aunt Flora is unavailable, but Uncle Eric offers hospitality in her stead."

"I accept." Diomedes says, taking the offered hand so that he might step through the connection, and to Aunt Flora's residence.

Obi draws his cousin through to the comfortable library in Flora's Shadow home.
