Bio: One of the youngest night elves alive and the youngest warrior to have been called to the Battle of Mt. Hyjal and survive, Therista is considered by many to be a very talented warrior. She was born to Anwen and Tethras Whisperleaf, who, at the time who mocked by many of their own kin for having a child when their race was immortal. However, the couple never regretted having her and always considered Therista to be a blessing in their lives. As a child, Therista was obedient, shy and kind to those around her. Because of the little grief she gave her parents, Anwen and Tethras allowed Therista to choose her own profession when she came of age. Because she admired her father so much, she took root in his footsteps and became a warrior(her mother was a huntress).

Her trainers and teachers always, with strong pride in their voices, told the couple daily of how well Therista did in her training courses. They called her "talented" because of her sharp wit and ease of learning. Despite the praise, Therista allowed herself to be a normal person among her peers; but news of her could not go unnoticed to a young rogue named Viystran Shadowsong. He became friends with Therista during the century before the Battle of Mt. Hyjal and later found himself to be attracted to her. Therista politely rejected his request for marriage as she did not feel ready and she wanted to focus on her training rather than love.

However, things changed in her 180th year of life. The Scourge and the Burning Legion returned, threatening the homes of the night elves and the whole world of Azeroth itself. Because of her abilites, the night elf was summoned to assist in defending Mt. Hyjal itself and there was no other warrior in the defensive military of the night elves that was younger than her. During the preparations of Mt. Hyjal, the night elf first encountered the other races of the world: Humans, orcs, trolls, tauren, dwarves, gnomes and even the exiled descendants of the Highborne, who referred to themselves as "High Elves". The young warrior found herself afraid of the Darkspear Trolls especially, after all the horror stories of trolls eating elves alive told to her as child, when a young troll with blue hair and red eyes approached her curiously with his eyes all over her body. Therista did not know, at the time, that the troll was Kul'thran.

The Battle at Mt. Hyjal was fierce and Therista was nearly killed in combat had it not been for a Troll Berserker who had taken the lethal blow for her. (Such events did not change her perspective on trolls) The battle was won, but the night elves lost their immortality. Disease, poisons and old age began to take their toll and as many that had died to protect the World Tree, almost more died to the outbreak of illnesses. Therista lost her mother, Anwen to a disease, that in current day can be easily cured, and her father, Tethras lost his sight permenantly due to an infection in his eyes. Therista was also hit by a furious virus that made the night elf immobile for days; priests and druids were certain that she would die.

Yet, by another stroke of luck, the night elf survived and took three months to recover. The doctors were amazed that she had lost no physical or mental functions. But there was some damage, when Therista went to train again she found that she was unable to fight anymore. She was examined again and the conclusion came that the virus had temprorarily damaged Therista's motor skills and memory insomuch that she had forgotten how to be a warrior. But, the damage being temporary, Therista could start her training over again with a high chance of similar success. It was good news, but even so, Therista was depressed at the loss of her mother and the enfeeblement of her father, Tethras, who had suffered so much that he would never fight nor see again. Even worse, the man she had loved, Viystran had done something, which Therista refused to mention that frightened the normally courageous woman and caused her to dump him, ending their relationship.

From that day, Therista changed. She was no longer shy, she was no longer obedient(except to her father), the woman became defiant, reckless and angry. The sorrow of her losses were so much that Therista changed her specialization from Arms, to Fury. A berserker had saved her life during the battle and Therista remembered how she had almost been a tripping stone for the defensive forces. After all that had happened, she believed that she had to harness her rage in order to do something, like that troll berserker had. Four years passed away and Therista did not forget her vow, only her hatred and the grudge she had held against the Scourge.

After restarting her training, Therista was wandering around in Stormwind when she met a blind huntress named Aroree Treehugger. The huntress was trying to reform her old house and seemed to be without friends or family. With all her own family save her father gone, Therista took the charter without another word and signed it. Turus lo Sharadore was reborn. As the months went by and after Aroree regained her sight, Therista began to see Aroree as a mother to her and gained a great deal of respect for her. Since the loss of her parents, Therista had become defiant and difficult to work with, yet because of her respect for Aroree, she will rarely, if ever, defy her.

Four years since the Battle of Mt. Hyjal, Therista is no longer bitter, but an excitable, cocky, skilled and tactical warrior with an innocent, shy little girl deep inside of her. She wishes most to save a home for her people and restore the woods of Ashenvale, Teldrassil and Felwood from the growing Corruption and will protect her friends and attack those that dare insult her second home and especially those that mock Aroree. While she is a warmonger, Therista respects those who move towards peace and defends against those that would try to hinder such movements.

Additional Notes: Therista also has a strong hatred for Staghelm. Also, her view of Darkspear Trolls has changed. She still believes most trolls are savage and vile, but she believes that most of the Darkspear Tribe is honorable. [She also has a journal which is External link Here, it also has some OOC entries of me from the past] Therista is currently soul-linked to Kul'thran and can communicate to him via mental messages.
