Bio: There were few who knew that Therista Whisperleaf had a sister, her birth was overshadowed and almost forgotten because of her more aggressive sibling's quickly rising reputation at the time as a warrior. Born twenty-three years after her sister, Slyrae was a blessing to Anwen and Tethras Whisperleaf in the form of a lovely little girl. The happy couple had high hopes for Slyrae after seeing how well her older sister had done as a warrior and wondered what path she would choose to take when she became of age. For the time being, Anwen and Tethras raised the child quietly as the news of her birth was buried underneth the praises of Therista's mentors and trainers.

Four years later, the two parents' hopes were shattered. A mere child, Slyrae was stolen away in the night by a gang of Satyrs, bent on making the night elf family miserable and hoping to strike fear into the hearts of the local night elves. Inside a dark, almost hidden cave a few miles away from Astranaar, Therista's and Slyrae's place of birth, the Satyrs bound, starved and tortured the helpless and innocent little girl for two days to the point of death. Fortunately, the Satyrs had relished their torture of Slyrae so much that the noise from the cave revealed their location to Tethras and Therista, both of whom, as warriors, had taken up their weapons and armor to search for the child. In the midst of their revelry, the Satyrs' wicked pleasures turned into terror and horror as a very angry older sister and father burst in and painted the walls of the cave with the blood of the foul creatures.

However the family victory was not without its dire price. For months, the youngest member of their family had to be in Moonglade, under the watch of Keeper Remulos, Rabine Saturina and many druids of the Cenarion Circle. Even though the Cenarion Circle druids managed to heal her all of her wounds endured from the torture, Slyrae's condition was not good, the druids found that the Satyrs had placed a corrupting force inside her body that would eventunally turn her into a Satyr. Unfortunately, it was beyond the druids' power to remove the corruption from Slyrae... unless they had water from a remote moonwell located in Silithius. Tethras, willing to do anything for his family took the assignment immediately and headed off to Silithius. Therista wished to help her father, but her parent refused, telling her that Anwen needed her more.

A tale for another time, Tethras set off for Silithius and finally found the moonwell after endangering his life multiple times for the sake of his daughter. The water worked and cleansed Slyrae of the Satyrs' taint, however, a marking was left on her face: some of her own blood from the torture had splattered on her face. The blood had soldified, according to the druids, and became a part of her skin due to some unknown power. Either Elune had done it as a reminder to all of the suffering Slyrae had endured or it was due to the taint of the Satyrs. Regardless, the once-clean face of Slyrae was now marked with her own blood.

But it wasn't over, Slyrae's ordeal with the Satyrs had made her paranoid, the little night elf would often hide in her room for days, never coming out. For a whole year, Therista had to get used to sleeping in her armor as every night, Slyrae would wake up in the middle of the night screaming from her horrible nightmares and fear that the darkness contained more cruel and wicked creatures that wanted her to suffer for their own filthy enjoyment. As soon as Therista heard the screams, the young warrior, whose room was closest to Slyrae's, would dash into the room, turn on the lights and scan for any enemies. For a whole year, nothing ever attacked Slyrae, but after what had happened, her family never wanted to ever take another chance. Finally, they could not deal with it any longer and they took Slyrae to Moonglade.

The Whisperleaf family and the druids of the Cenarion Circle discovered that Slyrae seemed to be more relaxed in Moonglade. The peaceful veil that protected the valley from darkness soothed her broken spirit and mind. Deciding it was for the best, Anwen and Tethras both agreed to let the Cenarion Circle keep Slyrae and raise her. Keeper Remulos reminded the Whisperleafs that they were allowed to visit Slyrae for as long as they wanted and as often as they wanted. The Whisperleafs could not move from Astranaar, but they did, over the following 150 years, visit Slyrae every day. One day, in Moonglade, an Ancient was passing through when he stopped on the little girl, who was about twelve at the time. Slyrae did not seem to be afraid of the giant tree-like entity and the Ancient seemed to be particularly interested in her. So taking her into his branches, the Ancient and the night elf almost spent all day talking to each other and then the Ancient left. It was on that day that Slyrae went to Rabine Saturina and told him that she wanted be a druid.

Becoming a druid was the answer to Slyrae's damaged spirit and mind, the powers of nature and soothing entities and spirits that helped her find courage within herself to take the first step healed what the Cenarion Cirlce had not thought possible for Slyrae. With her mind and spirit healed, the druids gave the Whisperleafs the most joyous news in years: Slyrae could go home now. No longer was Slyrae very paranoid, but instead shy and immensely timid, however, the few tricks she learned as a druid impressed her family, they were all very happy for her. Slyrae's re-entry to Night Elf society was again overshadowed like her birth by the coming of the Burning Legion and the Battle of Mt. Hyjal, of which her sister, Therista was called to when Slyrae was 157 years old.

After the battle was won at the cost of many lives of many races and the night elves' immortality, Slyrae was again traumatized by the death of her Mother, Anwen. Her whole family, except for herself, was devastated by ravenous diseases and only her and Therista(unfortunately, Therista was still taken by a disease that devastated her memory and she had to restart her training as a warrior from her first rank) came out without any marks. For four years, Slyrae healed and treated her poor and now-blind father, delaying her training as Druid further. Finally, when the priests of the Temple of Moon offered to take Tethras in, Slyrae was summoned to Shadowglen to start her training at last.

Additional Notes: Slyrae met Kul'thran during her Bear Form training in Moonglade[story to come about this] and was also given a blessing by that Ancient in Moonglade.
