The Budget of the United States Government ("US Budget") outspends its tax revenue. Why can't the US Budget be balanced?

This wiki is about the US Budget and what can be done to balance it. Before the US Budget can be balanced, it must be understood. Once the US Budget is understood, we can make informed decisions about how and where costs and waste can be eliminated.

This project is a work in progress. We have put together a table that summarizes the US Budget as disclosed to the public, and we will add comments regarding each budgetary item to (1) identify where we would like additional disclosure regarding the nature of the expense, (2) identify items that appear duplicative or out of place within each Agency or Department, and (3) propose solutions to both balance the US Budget and eliminate the National Debt.
