Meeting Minutes 12/15/05

Documents Review
James put together a packet to take to AMC on Sunday which includes the Lease Agreement, the site plan, the Membership Contract and Application and the Rules and Regulations. All these documents have been previously discussed. James made some small revisions and we looked them over quickly. Everyone is encouraged to look them over again at home and let James know if anything has been left out or needs to be changed or added.
Flyer Distribution Plan
Linda will complete the flyer in the near future and if possible email it to the group. We can then each print out a few flyers on our own computers. (If the flyer is not in electronic form, then we'll figure out something different.) We came up with a list of about 20 places where we could post flyers and everyone volunteered to post to a few. Instead of listing them here, we will each post to the listserv the list of places where we have posted flyers.
Timeline Review
The timeline looks good. Nobody suggested any major additions or revisions. We have a workday on Sunday. The latest weather prediction does NOT call for rain on Sunday.
Voting in Short Term Officers
The group voted in James as Garden Coordinator, Elizabeth as Secretary, and Mohan as Treasurer. We nominated Tom and Linda to serve as co-Site Coordinators.
Action Items
James - Meet with Garland on Sunday at 12:15 to sign the lease Anyone else who wants to be present is invited.
James - Call the Housing Authority to find out who to talk to about getting the water turned back on.
Selwyn - Put together the text for a handout on the Do's and Don't's of Organic Gardening
Selwyn - Call the Art Farm to find out who is donating their Dillo Dirt
Linda - Get final figures on cost of dirt from Organics By Gosh
Mohan - Attend the Executive Committee Meeting on 12-27 to ask for funds from the WPNA Charitable Donations Fund. (Jimmy may attend also.)
Mohan - Talk to Scott (Tree Folks) and the folks at Hornsby Bend to see about getting free Dillo Dirt.
Elizabeth - put up banners
Elizabeth - Call Calahans to see if they have chalk powder
Jimmy - Contact Boy Scouts
Everyone - post flyers
come to work days - Dec 18 and 29
Keep in mind we want to pick up free Christmas tree mulch after Christmas
