General Points

1. Use as large letters as the space permits
2. Use block letters (all capitals)
3. If there is more than one person with your last name, put the last 3 of your service number also

Marking Guide

• combat boots - inside, on left hand side
• socks - along cuff
• combat pants - left hand cargo pocket, underside of pocket flap
• belt - inside, near buckle
• drawers temperate underwear - inside, back, near waistband
• lightweight thermal underwear drawers - inside, back, near waistband
• lightweight thermal underwear undershirt - inside, back, near waist
• combat t-shirt - inside, back, near waist
• combat shirt - bottom left hand pocket, underside of pocket flap
• beret - inside, on label
• combat jacket - bottom left hand pocket, underside of pocket flap
• wind pants - left hand cargo pocket, underside of pocket flap
• wide brimmed combat hat - inside, on label
• lightweight thermal balaclava - on label
• lightweight thermal neck gaiter - on label
• helmet - inside, back
• helmet cover - inside, back
• combat glove outer - inside, on white elastic
• combat glove inner - inside, along cuff
• temperate combat glove - inside,
