Review time: 4 months. I ultimately received a rejection, but the reviewer comments were useful. I'd give the editorship a "C". Editor's comments were not particularly helpful, and when I received the reviews, they'd spelled my name wrong.



I received an R&R on a co-authored paper 2 months after initial submission. 4 reviews. 3 were very useful, 1 was negative and dismissive (actually called for a rejection). The editors letter indicated that the R&R called for a theoretical re-casting and some additional data analysis, which we did. The resubmission was reviewed by 3 reviewers in about 2 months and received a conditional accept at that point. Subsequently accepted 2 months after that, with additional imput from 2 reviewers. Overall got an accept but Kivisto (editor at the time) ran a tight ship. I'd recommend submitting there; very prompt, very helpful reviews, and an active and thorough editor.
