I submitted a sociology/demography article and it was rejected. Turnaround time was a little under 3 months.
The article was sent to 3 reviewers. One of the reviewers was in a completely different field (s/he disclosed field).
Some of the feedback, however, was helpful and I am incorporating some of their suggestions into a future draft.
