There are subtitles in several languages and versions.
RORIK - The producers cut to a 90 Minuts film/movie on DVD had subtitles in German and Englsh.
but there are German (and English) subtitles on the RORIK-DVD.
And some fans of the Raumpatrouille typed the spoken text down:
Novelisations to the series in German were written: The Titles in German and French.
The series was aired quite early in 1966/67, right after germany but before it was on TV in france.
The series was dubbed in 1967 by the Pannonian Filmstudios, soon on air (3rd feb. 1968), had a repetition in 1970 (beginning with 19th july) and also in 1980. Some scenes were cut and names are a bit different (General Womsler, Tamara Jagello).
In 2003 the channel "Filmmuzeum" decided to make a complete new dubbing and aired the series a few times since spring of the same year.
Gyula Hódi made a script of the old dialogue you can download here (PDF zipped, 432 KB).
Instead of the missing scenes you'll find the german dialogue.
With many airings (and a dubbing made in the 21st century) and a board game, hungarian ORION fans are the luckiest in the not german speaking countries.
An Italic DVD will be avaiable soon!
The italian dubbed version was shown by Swiss Tv in 1972.
The series could be seen in some region of Northern Italy. All seven episodes were dubbed:
The 1974 transmission in Italy by tv Rai was on it's first channel. For some strange reason RAI transmitted only four episodes (2-3-4-5) in the "children air time" period (5 p.m) making the series quite difficult to understand. Nevertheless it had a good
audience.
In the late seventies the last italian transmission was by TeleMonteCarlo (at the time "subsidiary" of RAI) showing the same four episodes.
1976/77, Saturday evenening at 23:30, saw the ORION fight against frogs in portugal. The series were subtitled shown first by channel RTP1 than again by RTP2.
Portugese TV switched to the german PAL system in 1980 but this was also a step to color where the responsible persons might have thought the series look a bit awkward then.
As Fantasticas Aventuras da Nave ORION
but there are German (and English) subtitles on the RORIK-DVD.
The series was aired on the Belgium television in the fall of 1969 in the afternoon around 16:30
and was subtitled in Dutch. All seven episodes were aired and could only be received in the Southern
part of the Netherlands. To my knowledge the series is never aired on Dutch television.
I will try to translate subtitles into Dutch from the English versions. My German is not that good.
I do have access to the full transcripts in German but a lot of technical terms used in the series
are difficult to translate with limited German knowledge.
