Real time clock
STMicroelectronics Serial Real-Time Clock M41T81 with IC Interface and Alarm
Real-Time clock (RTC) chip is used as a simple clock but so has an alarm function. When setting the alarm in the PMP the main CPU would tell this chip the alarm time. The RTC would then 'Wake up' the main CPU when it is time for the alarm to go off.
