lispnik logo

This lambda logo is plain, but could be a basis for a "big corporate" logo. A problem: non-lispers don't know what a lambda is, or why it's relevant to lisp. Nevertheless it could be used as an abstract graphical design.
Or, on the hulls of the big Imperial destroyers that are always blasting the fun-loving Lisp aliens on the planet's surface to smithereens. Compare The Blue Meanies from The Yellow Submarine.
Yeah, that's going to be my schtick now. How every logo can be a world building exercise. - BVE

other logo attempt

I seriously doubt that the logos which mimic Intel logos are legal. Looks like a violation of Trademark. - BVE

I've called it the Lisp smart logo. Very pretty. - matteo
If Lisp were a virtual world, you'd put this atop all the school entrances and textbooks.
Remember the School Of Fish from The Yellow Submarine? - BVE

ALU Lisp logo

Clever use of toothpaste tubes to connect letters. The concept is viable; the execution needs work. License is unknown, so only a link is provided.
Something similar could be neon signage. Could sell LispNoodles, the aliens' favorite food, or be part of a red light district. - BVE

This is not a logo. It is too complicated, it cannot be identified from a distance, it would look terrible on a small letterhead, etc.
However, it could be stuck inside "To Serve Lisp." - BVE

Hi there! I thought I might join in this thread. I had this flying around for a year now, but I still love it,
especially because I am mostly running Lisp on my Debian boxen. So this would obviously be useful when you are running an app with Lisp on Debian.
Check out the full variations at iheartlisp.jpg, too. Could also make a great shirt. The .eps file is available via public domain license at [[http://semapedia.org/images/Lisplogo/Iheartlisp.eps |

These logos are more about Debian than about Lisp. For those who know Debian, they read "I Debian Lisp."
For those that don't, they read "I something Lisp." If they investigate, they find Debian, not any more info about Lisp. - BVE

Agreed that Debian is more present, I think it's still nice if you are really about this kind of setup, though. Reminds me of these "I <3 NY" Shirts :) - Alexis

Imagine you're at a trade show. If your goal is to sell Lisp-based Debian boxes, this is good.
But what about Redhat, Macs, Windows, Playstation 3, GameCube, XBox2? If you care about those then this is not good. It could make people think Lisp is Debian platform specific. - BVE

CONS CELL graphic
Probably not at all free to use or reproduce, as it is part of commercially sold clothing. But it can inspire. - BVE

Escher-like lambdas (svg)
Here can be found an Escher-like picture made with lambdas. The svg is not copyrighted, it can be modified to fit your taste. - matteo

I actually know what a lambda is, and I wouldn't notice that this has anything to do with lambdas at first glance.
In this respect it reminds me of Sun's logo, not one of the all-time great logos.
Mainly I am reminded of Muslim tilework. - BVE
