Because of O'Reilly, every language has an animal. Ergo, an animal is not a strong brand identity, there are too many of them. Unless the animal is special, startling, or striking, it comes across as Yet Another Language in a whole Noah's Ark full of animals. I like this graphic, but I don't think a lizard can differentiate Lisp from the herd. - BVE
