How To Sort In X1 Using Multiple 'Sort-by' Selections

[Applies to Releases/Versions: unknown]

Q: "How do I perform multiple-level column sorting? "

Sorting means to click a header, such as 'Date Modified', and sort all the search results based on
the values in that column.

To 'perform muliple-level column sorting' means to sort by 2 or more fields.

For example, you could sort search results first by From, then by To, then by Date.

If you want to sort by more than one category (column) for example, sort by Date Modified, then sort by File Name
then :

1. Sort on the 1st value (such as Date), then
2. hold down the 'Shift' key while clicking the 2nd column heading.
3. (Optional) Keep the 'Shift' key pressed, and click on a 3rd column heading.

X1 allows you to select up to two additional levels of sorting (for a total of three 'Sort by' selections).

Example:
You click the From header first, then press and hold down the Shift key and click on the "To" column header,
then click the "Date/Time" column header, then release the Shift key.

To return to sorting on a single column, simply click the applicable column header.
