General information/Background

Dakirbydude is a member that found the site on Jun 5, 2006. He discovered it through the ACforums where Koopler who is the site founder posted an advertisement on the site. Dakirbydude became a moderator on V1 (which is what the first version of the International Friend Code Alliance became knowns as) and eventually was considered a good staff member. In the first few months of the job, he did what some would consider a mediocre job, but later on he became helpful to the site.

Near the end of IFCA V1's first era, there was the StarFox fan incident. Dakirbydude was related with this confusion. What happened was in the staff forum, people were freaking out that there were "spies" spying on our site or that there was a "hacker" trying to cause trouble as well as people advertising on the site to bring loyal members away from IFCA. Dakirbydude wen't undercover, and it...didn't go well. _heidi_sue who was an administrator at the time was confused with what exactly what was going on and banned Dakirbydude who went undercover as "StarFoxFan" His IP address was banned, and basically everyone more or less freaked out.

Right after the IFCA v1 StarFox Fan incident, the site relocated to IFCA v2 where Dakirbydude had planned to be an admin at the launch. Dakirbydude was not happy with what had just happened so he decided to turn down the admin powers he had applied for right before the incident. Later on, Dakirbydude did accept admin duties, but that was months later.

Contributions to IFCA

Dakirbydude has made many contributions to the site; the earliest contribution would have been about a month after he first became a member of V1.

One of his first significant contributions for IFCA would be when he first became a moderator of IFCA V1. It was one of his first significant moderator jobs, so in the beginning he did not do an excelent job, or even close. But as time passed, he became a good moderator who did a lot to help the site prosper.

Another thing he did was be an active member in the frappr. The frappr was a chatroom created for IFCA. It's purpose was to have a good time, and to make the arrangement of battles over the Nintendo Wifi Connection easier. The frappr was a huge chatroom that was used all the time by many different members until the people who designed the frappr system changed some settings and made it some trouble to use. As a result, many IFCA members quit using it.

Dakirbydude had several nicknames because many people were too lazy to type out his full name.
