Boyar Vanya Rjazan Decados, Captain of the 17th Kossacks, "Terror of Dashan"
Home World: Pandemonium
Name Meaning: Vanya is the diminutive of Ivan, or John for Hawkwoods. Rjazan is the place where he was knighted.
Age: Vanya doesn't look a day older than thirty.
Master: Count Enis Sharn of Pandemonium
Description: The man wearing the black uniform of a Mantis soldier is an inhumanely beautiful Decados officer, serving the stereotype so popular in Magic Lantern shows. Standing about two metres tall, Boyar Vanya is made to be perfect and is showing it. There is little natural quality about him, somebody wanted him to look like a blonde Empyrean of death, military version, and succeeded. His briliant light-blue eyes are slanted, pronounced by high, slavic cheekbones, framed by perfectly measured lashes and eyebrows. His skin is flawless and tanned, there is no stubble or beard around his sensous lips that have a decidedly cruel cast to them, but that makes them all the more sensous. He isn't older than thirty, belying the high rank displayed on his uniform.
Kossacks are inhumanely tough and powerful, and this one seems to be no exception.
Vanya's facial expressions are hampered, however. Be it from war wounds, be it from surgery, or a botched operation, Vanya's facial features remain stiff, and give him a very decided lack of expressiveness.
Background: Vanya is the third in a line of Kossack Captains of Vargo. He has been around for about ten years, and the official story is that he was knighted for bravery in battle. A highly decorated Kossack officer with several medals to his name, Vanya officially worked in riot control, helping his master stay on top of things on Pandemonium. As he apparently also served in Stigmata, and the Emperor Wars, his appearance doesn't add up to his official career, and some people believe he's on longevity drugs to prolong his physical peak for as long as possible.
