Porter Valencia

Date of Birth: Unknown
Planet of Origin: Unknown
Height: 6'1"
Weight: 207 lbs
Eyes: Blue
Hair: Blonde-Brown
Muster Rank: Major
League Rank: Vice Consul
Previous Titles: Chancellor of Vargo, Vargo Civic Guard Chief, Charioteer Weaponsmaster
Alias(es)/Given Titles: Defender of Vargo (Battle of Prophet's Crossing), The Chief, Drunkard
and Rapscallion.
League Affiliation: Muster

The just over six foot man has a dirty amount of light blonde hair, mixed with an undertone of
browns. His style is always short and messy, letting the hair fall wildly about his head in an
uncaring fashion. Strands hang in groups around his face to about cheek-bone-length. A set of
dark blue eyes and a rather angled and hardened face complete this man's visage. His skin tone
is a fair quality, the only tan present is one of a man who spends some hours outdoors.

Dressed in the regular garb of a Mercenary leader, the man wears black urban camo assault pants,
with pockets strageically placed along the pant leg. They cover black combat boots. The man's
shins are covered in light recon padding, of a flush black colour. His torso is covered with
one green t-shirt, a layer over his muscles. The sleeves are rolled to halfway up his bicep.
Gun holsters hang under his arms for two guns to placed inside near each rib. A light combat
vest covers his pecks and stomach, but is left ot hang open for easier gun access. The front
left-breast pocket of his vest buldges, as if there is a pack of cigarettes in there. Dog tags
hang around his neck, just in case of failure on the field. A muster logo adorns each arm. Each
hand is covered in light recon-padding to the middle of the wrist, gloved in a thin layer of
black material.

Personality

He drinks almost every day. He smokes cigarettes and is rumoured to also indulge in hashish and
marijuana. The man is disrespectful to almost anyone he meets, and has very little personal
friends (meaning, friends that he keeps close and tells his honest opinions to). He speaks with
a lazy drawl, like a commoner would and seems to pride himself in all the things that he excels in.
He curses a lot, though the striking part of this personality feature is that he no longer takes
the Pancreator's name in vain. In fact, he will often crusade against people that do openly and
publically and will go so far as to hit them with his fists or any other blunt objects within reach
if they do not conform to his ideology.

He likes to act like a jackass to people and put them down. He is always up for a "cock swinging"
argument with a noble and he never seems to think where his mouth is concerned. He is a sociopath
in that he is the first to point out hypocrasy, but is a hypocrite himself. He'll spend hours
making someone feel like shit only to take it all back in the end. He has a temperment like a
rattlesnake. It's easy to get him going, but he gives fair warning before he'll strike. Lots of
fair warning these days.

For all his dirty commoner mercenary qualities he has also grown into a family man. As a Father he
is most often confused, though stern and hard. He shows a lot of love in his orders about the house
he has the tendency to want to solve his children's problems as soon as they begin. Whether it is
matured-enough Pura, or little Llewellyn. He always maintains a level of
stability, usually doing everything in his power to avoid chaos in his own home. It is rare that
any member of his family will hear the words: 'I love you,' or any other such mushy sentiments. He
is often avoiding saying such things, whether it is his wife, his ex-wife (of which he will always
love to some small degree) or his children. Instead of simply saying it, he would rather display it
in a day's worth of hard work, or a small meal he will prepare.

When people are not looking and he finds time to himself, Porter will cook an elaborate meal, just
for the challenge of cooking an elaborate meal.

Relationships

For the purposes of this page, the titles and disgustingly long names of nobles have been cut short
to include their first name and house name.

Carnait Valencia: Porter's current wife, and some people still wonder how, or why that marriage
happened. The problem is that he honestly loves his wife - which isn't always a great thing.
However, he always does seem happy when he sees her and if he's fighting with her, or sharing a
story, he believes it's time well spent.

Pura Saint-Saens Valencia: Porter's adopted daughter. Though no relation by blood, he treats
her like he would treat his daughter.

Llewellyn Valencia: Porter's son with his wife Carnait. A fiesty little half-Vargen,
half-whatever child, the young toddler is loud and expressive and isn't afraid to tell people off.
The father couldn't be prouder.

Teya Saint-Saens: Porter's ex-wife by his first marriage. After he was presumed dead, their
marriage was not binding. Long story, but it's all good in the end. They still fight, shout and
comfort one another.

Iskander al-Malik: Protector of Planet Vargo, Porter respects the man and sees Iskander as a
pretty neat guy. He helped build the Serai palace that Iskander inhabits.

Devante Hazat: Current leader of the Hazat on Vargo. Porter thinks the dude can be nice at
times, but underneath all that he only sees Devante for the noble that he is. A pompous jerkface.

Alvaro Hazat: Former Leader of House Hazat, former Protector of Vargo and former Wielder of the
Lantern of Vargo. A man Porter respected a great deal, and spent years forming an affable
friendhsip in which he honestly liked the man. Enough to take one of his names and use it as his
married name.

Auda al-Malik: Son of Iskander, he sees a fun-loving, good-natured man in the younger al-Malik.
He actually spends time drinking with Auda and tries to talk about anything that isn't related to
politics. Often that involves womanizing and drunken debauchery.

Alane Tadakar: Het met her at a party, and then a few times afterwards and got to know this
young Vargen woman. A stark contrast to many Vargens he meets, he formed a friendship with her
and rumours are, perhaps a little more.

Michael Hawkwood: Hawkwood Viscount and leader, the man never lacks a vision for or on the
battlefield. Michael has always been nice to Porter and their conversations always start and end
in a calm, reasonable fashion. Sometimes he'll even ask the other man for advice on more personal
topics.

Aysel: A nice woman, working for the Courtesean's guild. She has explained to Porter her
business venture and he has offered her ideas and help along the way. When she freed herself from
Iskander's contract and wanted to start something herself, he was more than willing to help.

Tamara Johnson: A nice girl who runs the Masque. Porter made a naughty man who showed a naughty
holoreel disappear for Tamara after she had some problems with some content that was being shown in
the Magic Lantern. She has been helpful in the past with information or background information
and is regarded as one of Vargo's premier entertainers. She is a hit at noble parties.

Icarus ul Sendraka: A stern older man who Porter had over for dinner one night with his wife
Carnait to discuss matters pertaining to Vargo's flock. It was a pleasent evening and he learned
the Avestite does at least have some semblance of humanity in him.

Samiloth Justinian: A Brother Battle that Porter watched gain rank through his zealous work in
name of the Pancreator. He rarely agrees with Samiloth and it has gotten to the point where it is
impossible for him to try to negotiate any matter with the man no matter how simple or complex it
is.

Deuce: A fellow Musterman who has a little daughter named Alisha or something like that. He is
one of the best teamsters Porter has ever seen and owns his own truck the Heavy Metal that
oversees various deliveries across Vargo and guarantees shipment on time. It transports just about
anything and has even seen combat action. The massive, over equipped truck is much like the owner.

Business Ventures and Monopolies

Over the course of Vargo's history, here is a compilation of the known contracts that Porter has
completed or has been a major part of.

spaceport and Merchant's Exchange again. It was the largest contract the Muster received at that time and earned a record breaking amount of firebirds.
  • Edificer for the contract to build the Tei Lung Tea House, one of his first edificer contracts
from House Li-Halan.
  • Edificer contract to build La Plancha Argonese a Hazat establishment.
  • Edificer to build the Serai palace at Tuscanice.
  • Re-construction of Port Lewellyn after the liberation of it by the Hawkwood and VDF Forces.
  • Aquisition of the Teamster monopoly from the Charioteers to the Muster
  • Building of the Muster training facility Presidio Base located on the Muster lands of Tarepin.
  • Edficier for contracts on upgrades to various noble fiefs across the Triumvirate's holdings. They are too numerous to list individually.
