Occupational History

Moia grew up somewhere on Manitou, but due to the lawless nature of
that world, noone can really say where or how she might have lived.
Regardless, during her teens she was apprenticed to the guild and served as
assistant engineer aboard the league freighter Manitou Dancer (current
whereabouts unknown.) After several years in this position, she mysteriously
moved to Criticorum, where she continued to work as a stardrive mechanic
at the starport before being fully initiated into the guild and invited to
join the college of stardrive engineers. At this point, she was invited to
move to Leagueheim, serving in a guild maintenance facility, and learning
to work with the delicate jump engines and fusion reactors of starships.
Vargo is her first major posting, and she seems very enthusiastic about
her work on the planet.

Superiors on Leagueheim have described her as a 'gifted' and 'natural'
repair technician, with a seemingly innate grasp of the workings of technology.
However, concerns have been voiced over her unfortunate tendancy to rely on
gut instinct and personal intuition over scientific knowledge..

Moia seems to be good friends with the captain of a charioteer freighter, the
Blue Shazzle, which trades between Vargo and Tethys. The origins and
nature of this relationship is unknown, but occasionally Moia has been known
to accompany the crew on their trips, at times when her schedule allows.

Moia is a youthful looking woman, though a serious assessment would guess her
age to be in the late twenties or early thirties. There's not much exceptional
about her at a glance. Average height and build, and quite shapely, although
without the toned physique of a noble fencer. There is a kind of natural,
wholesome beauty about her rounded features and deep, dark eyes, but this is
marred by the fact that her skin seems to be perpetually stained with grease
marks which, although they must be washed off, always seem to return more
prominent than before. Her hair is almost black, and is usually secured rather
inelegantly with several clips, seemingly placed at random, which are partially
successful in keeping it out of her eyes.

Her clothing, however, is probably enough to mark her out instantly as a
member of the guilds. She's wearing a white, oil-stained, sleeveless shirt
with a small Engineers guild patch sewn proudly on to the left breast, heavy
grey working dungarees with braces over the shoulders, a utility belt fastened
around the waist and thick, elbow-length protective gloves made of some kind
of plastic and synthetic padding. The front of this bizarre uniform is covered
in tool pockets and device holders, which seem to contain a vast plethora of
miscellaneous repair paraphernalia, from simple scewdrivers to high tech flux
capacitators. Finally, around her neck hangs a pair of goggles, currently
unused, though who but an engineer could guess the function.

Relationships

Deuce - Moia was initially terrified of Deuce, but has grown more fond of
him over time. She was recently hired to fix the fusion reactor on his truck.

Sunshine - Sunshine is rather like her namesake, and thus Moia really can't
help but be cheered up by her.

Kinuko - When kinuko is talking about machines and aircraft, Moia likes her
a lot. In general though, she's a bit shocking.

Xof - Despite a general phobia of priests, Moia finds Xof quite interesting.
