Isra Setara Zaki al-Malik
The daughter of the infamous and powerful Count Zaki of Criticorum, she was taken at the age of 12 as a
hostage against her father's good behaivor by the Istakhr Court. She was there emotionally abused and given
little of the training a noble should have. By the time Iskander took control of her as ward when she turned 18
she was sunk into a resigned depression and convinced that her house hated her.
Her time at the Serai did not do much good, with Iskander seeming far more interested hitting on her than
treating her as a ward... his efforts to help her only made it worse. She gained a reputation of being aloof and
is chronically depressed.
More recently, she disappeared for quite a long time. Since her return she has been even more aloof, though
Iskander has named her Lighthouse Lady of Tuscanice. Servants speak that she has been taking Selchakah.
Her father's recent remarriage to another al-Malik of a branch from Shaprut has already bore fruit in the form of a
son, leaving her with no inheritance either. Not that she had much hope left.
On the other hand, she is famed for being a beauty matched by few and rivaled by none. A shame she seems destined
for a tragic end.
DESC:
The darkest of hair, as dark as the night sky itself. The hair long and cascading down around her shoulder and to her waist. Yet even the night sky is not uniformly dark, pale skin the color of the full moon itself offsets the darkness. A soft complexion free of blemishes, a face of delicate beauty. An expression of aloof radiance almost perpetually locked on her face. Yet even the moon can be adorned, made more beautiful. The dark wells of her eyes are made even darker by the kohl liner that surrounds them - yet stars sparkle even in that darkness, silver sparkles shine in that same kohl. Her lips a pale sapphire in color from lipstick. She does not stand tall, but she does carry herself with a grace to match that of the delicate dance of the stars across the sky from sunset to sunrise. A dupatta scarf is worn over her hair, long and elegantly falling nearly down to her ankles. It's made out of a nearly transparent gauze-silk the color of her skin, the corners and edges heavilly brocaded with designs in the same color of her dress.
A tikka headpiece shaped as the al-Malik sunwheel, studded with pearls, is worn on her forehead. Golden chandelier earrings with delicate pearls and beads hang from her ears. A wide choker style necklace of a matching golden color adorns her throat. More jewelry, bangles, adorn her wrists and clang with each movement.
A kurta blouse with a square neckline and short sleeves, as her hair is the color of the night sky. This is the rich, pale blue color of the day sky - with smaller arabesque designs off-setting it in a slightly darker color. Three large, elaborate, swirling, brocaded arabesque designs adorn the front of the kurta, cerulean as the deep tropical sea and the richest of sapphires, black as the night, and silver white. It falls down to midway between her knees and ankles. Each side of the kurta slit up to her hip. The edges of the kurta are black as well, with smaller designs in white embroidered along with it Below it she wears steel-blue shalwar pants that fall to just above her ankle as well. A heeled, golden colored sandal with a two-inch heel adorns each foot and the scent of citrus wafts when in her presence.%
