It's a martial arts film. From the 70s. It's pretty much what you'd expect. Clicky combat, martial arts possessing mystical powers, fake beards and eyebrows, punishing training sequences. The story is of some girl whose family gets killed by some invading faction who are trying to take over the country. She is helped by some super martial arts guy who holds off some bad guys at a temple and then they make their escape. But he ends up killed by their boss as she escapes. She then goes to train in a Shaolin Temple whilst pretending to be a boy. Eventually gets trained by a great female master in Wing Chun. And then three good guys beat up super bad guy. And a Japanese samurai type who seems to be largely there to show that Chinese kung fu is the bestest martial art in the whole wide world. He's supposedly the best in his country but he's no match for our heroes. There's some evil Taoist priest involved as well but I'm not entirely sure what he's all about.
What it all comes down to is I've got one overlong and underinteresting martial arts film in my pocket and I wasn't terribly bothered about seeing long demonstrations of Wing Chun.
