Alice Seska Mosse

• Story: Nylell Corporation (and later, Welcome to Jhenge)
  • Occupation: Starship petty officer.

Alice is one of the useless half of The Hornet flagship.
Irritable and neurotic due to childhood experiences which she never discusses.
She is a metal fetishist but has a rare disease which causes her body to reject cybernetic implants.
(Can't be that rare as Smitty also has it.)
Upon hearing this news, she went a little crazy and began to slice open her limbs, inserting metal pipes.
Now she is older and wiser, but her body still bears the scars, and her crippled leg is in a brace.

Generally fed up with life, the only thing that keeps her going is the pleasure that metal gives her, and at all times wears steel earrings, bracelets, or whatever else she can lay her hands on.
Never laughs at jokes but tends to grin at odd moments.
Blessed with a beautiful voice and her diplomatic skills are most useful.
Gets along okay with other crew members, but wouldn't call any of them friends.
Not particularly useful inna fight.

Alice was originally created for a 200pt GURPS campaign an on-line friend started during my uni days,
and was the reason I purchased GURPS in the first place.
She's a sort of cross between the fetishist from Tetsuo: The Iron Man and Mark from A Better Tomorrow.
