Marie Parker is a professional duelist in ShadowVineyard (or a "Blade" in the local vernacular) and a member of OtharsCadre. She may be a romantic interest of Obi.

Obi, however, is not treated with complete disrespect, other than having some of these athletic men check out his lovely cousin with little regard to what his relationship might be with her. Also on closer inspection, they are athletic, and everyone dressed in clothes that are well made if not 'finery'. The lone female, a dark haired beauty with fair skin and long eyelashes has her eyes fixed on him alone.

"You fishin' for autographs hon?" the dark haired woman asks with a raised eyebrow underneath a fallen lock of hair and a slight curve of her lips.

Obi's smile joins the game, calling her smile and eyebrow and raising it a chuckle.

Turning back to Othar's table he shrugs. "Let me buy you a drink to make up for it," he offers to all even if his smile was for the woman, "And I'll see if I can find something for you to sign."

The lady arches one long eyebrow, and breaks into an even bigger smile with ease, laughing lightly. "Better find something big," she teases lightly. "I don't write small."

Obi chuckles, but doesn't push his luck.

The third man motions to his companions. "Renfield Jones, Viserion Voelker, and I'm Thomas Ryland." He's a quiet, quite handsome caucasian man with light blond hair. "Please join us."

"They probably know who *we* are," points out Renny with a vain air about himself.

The dark haired woman looks up at Obi through her thick eyelashes. "Marie Parker," she introduces herself anyway.

"Of course you are," he replies, taking her hand in his and kissing the back of it ever so gently. "Obi Abidemi."

Obi finds himself a chair from a nearby table and draws it up aside Marie. "She's really rather good. Definitely better than I, but my talents lie in other places."

"I'll bet," she murmurs teasingly, giving him a sidelong look. She keeps her elbow propped on the table though, and involved with the rest of the conversations. "So you're not trying to break in, Mr. Abidemi? You look like you could handle yourself fairly well. Quarterstaff? Am I right or am I wrong?"

"Well, it does often take two hands," he chuckles.

Marie doesn't hold back from bursting out in a raucous laugh. "O-kay!" she blushes. She's not alone in her amusement, the others (except for Othar who is intent on his explanation to Miho) laugh appreciatively with along with her. Particularly at how she set her self up for Obi's reply. She takes another drink not having a good come back to that.
