D.Gray-man

D.Gray-man takes place in an AU version of the turn of the century, where machines known as Akuma are waging war against humans. It's up to a branch of the Church known as the Dark Religious Organization and its Exorcists to battle the Akuma and their creator: a mysterious figure known as the Millennium Earl.

...which makes it sound all grand and serious, which it only sometimes is. Really, all the Exorcists probably need their heads examined.
