Part 3: History and Discription of Venue:

The Domain of Houston is currently divided into two areas in Forsaken. The Galveston area is contolled by the Tribes of the Moon. The Houston area is controlled by the Pure.

Houston's inner loop area was taken by the Pure in the Bretheren War. Most of the Uratha in the area were driven to the south, in such places as Pasadena and Clear Lake. When the Pure rose again in the 90's, they drove the Uratha even further south. This is the current status of the Uratha and Pure in the area.

Much of the history is still pending, as I am trying to work characters into the history of the venue.

I am also currently developing NPCs for the Pure and the Spirits. Some of those (the ones that PCs should know about) will be added after I have completed them.

Part 4: Storytelling Mechanics

1. Characters must be in the database and assigned to the Venue Style Sheet before entering sanctioned play. Allowences have been made for the Soft RP sessions, however, starting May 1st, they must be entered.

2. Characters must be printed out, not hand written. Hand written characters will not be allowed into Houston games. This applies to both characters in the home venue, and to visiting characters.

3. A copy of the character sheet must be left with the Storyteller at the end of each game. It may be the one used by the player during the game, or it may be an extra that the player brought with, but a copy must be collected by the ST.

4. EVERYTHING on the character sheet is to be justified by the background of the character. If a character is a bookworm that hardly excersises, there better be a good reason if they have Brawl 5.

5. Rule number 4 goes DOUBLE for Renown. A character's Renown represents what other PCs know about him/her.

6. That's it for now. Will notify the ST chain if there is anything else I need to add.

7. Proxies must be given up to 48 hours in advance. They may be sent to the ST at the address VST_Forsaken@desolatesouls.us. After the 48 hour mark they will no longer be accepted. Included in the proxy must be:

Character Sheet

XP Log

Reason for coming to the area

What the character wishes to accomplish while here, how far they are willing to go to do so, and they're common methods for doing so.

8. Travel rules - Travelling is dangerous as a werewolf might take it as intruding on their territory. In addition, werewolves usually don't want to leave their pack territory, as otherwise, it may get a bit infested with spirits or otherwise messed up while they're gone. Travelling characters must provide a good reason why they wish to travel to this game. If a player is unsure about whether their reason is good enough, they may contact the ST at VST_Forsaken@desolatesouls.us to confer.

9. Experience - Experience will be awarded with the following guidelines:

4XP for showing up and role-playing

1XP for writting up a CAT sheet (Provieded by the ST. If this is not provided by the ST, assume the standard XP award is 5.)

1XP for exceptional RP, as nominated by the players (must be nominated by at least two people, beyond the player being nominated)

Outside of a game: as per the Camarilla Addendum, non-game activities may result into up to 4XP per month. Here are the guidelines for non-game XP awards:

IRC play: 1 XP for every hour of play. This must be actual RP, not saying "hi" to everyone coming in the channel. Something dynamic must be happening. This applies to scenes run on IRC as well, unless done as a proxy or other game environment.

E-mail: E-mail will be handled on a rated sliding scale, based on impact to the list sent to. An e-mail that effects a pack may get 1 XP, a domain, 2 XP, a region, 3 XP, nation or global, 4 XP. In addition, the amount of impact may weigh these one way or another. For example, if EVERYONE in the domain responds to an e-mail, and it has so much effect that it causes the premise of a game, it may be brought up to 3 or 4. Alternatively, if you make a post to a global list, and no one cares, you won't get any XP.

Downtimes: Downtime write ups will almost always get 4 XP, if they are of good quality. Saying that your character went to the supermarket and bought some celery won't cut it. Detailing how your character paroles their territory, or writting up what your character thinks of a spirit NPC, and providing plenty of details for either will likely get you the full four.
