Imperial Troops

"Imperial soldiers should not get involved in guard or law affairs. Afterall, thats what the guard is for. The primary responsibility of the garrisoned army in Treegum is to protect it from outside or foreign threats". Many people have commented on how there appear to be two distinct factions among the Imperials that are seen regularly in activities around the lands.

Many of the new Imperial forces, the ones that were brought over from the mainland by Emperor Galigas, identify themselves as Red Dragons and have a distinct red dragon insignia and crest on their shields. They make up the bulk of the Imperial force that now guards Saphage. The other Imperial troops are those that served during the Thrungeedian and Drow conflicts under the command of General Vizaga. They have retained their own identity and have yet to take up the red dragon device.

Now with the revelation that Galigas is not exactly the man most thought him to be, indeed he is not a man at all but was in fact Orgorgon, the Empire seems to be in dissarray. Many of Vizaga's troops were brainwashed, as was much of the Imperial army, by Galigas, and only with the fall of Elumbrae to the demonic forces have many broken from the spell of allegiance to Galigas, weather it be self imposed or a true spell. This has caused much confusion on troop organization and edicate, espeically with the formerly Imperial group, the BlackWolves.

From this overall split in allegiances have come the foundation of the new BlackWolves under the same command, Captain Jack Lovedash, whose current status has been called into question a few times, after being seen fall in battle and buried, then back, then rumored to have fallen again in battle. The other group, the Rough Riders were also formed to combat the Galigas loyalists still out there, as well as to keep back demonic and mundane threats from the friendlier parts of Saphage.
