Sarah Kellei

Though little was known of Sarah's life before she appeared in Treegum, many would agree that she had a defining role in the events that would shape its history and that of Saphage as a whole.

She was most notably known as the Champion of Ra'Ma, a beautifull warrior angel with large feathered wings, golden in color as was her long, flowing hair. The title and privelage were bestowed unto her after finding favor with her God and completing a series of tests. This title was originally shared with another, Zach Bora, but he eventually fell from grace. Sarah grew increasingly devoted to her God, Lord of the Sun, to a point that some would call fanatical.

Though she had a deep concern for the people of Treegum, and always worked to protect them, Ra'Ma came before all else. As such, she had little regard for the laws of the land, most commonly referring to them as a "hindrance to true good works". She led a solo campaign against the darker races of the world. When officials and adventurers alike opened their arms to beings like the drow and demons, Sarah Kellei took a stand against them. On more than one occasion, she was known to confront and kill such persons on site, regardless of where they stood.

To those that knew Sarah on a more personal level, her life of servitude was often a struggle. She bore a genuine passion and devotion to the concept of True Love. Though she would preach that love could overcome all odds and cross all boundaries, there seemed to be one exception - herself. She believed that the consequence of her position as a Champion required her to sacrifice ever experiencing a romantic love. Many tried to persuade her otherwise, but circumstance through fate, or perhaps simple chance, continuously showed her only pain when she would try.

Sarah seemed to attract magical oddities. Be it through curses, magical spells, divine intervention, or just mischevious friends, she held a great variety of forms at different points throughout her life. In some cases she managed to turn her odd misfortunte into something good and beneficial, as was the case of her pivotol role in the great Drow War. After her body had been cursed into solid - yet still moveable - gold, she led an expedition with a few others to rescue General Gerad Vizaga from the clutches of the drow queen Deatheelia. She always strived to make the most of her abilities in any situation and was resilient, never waning in the face of her enemies.

Sadly, the devoted Champion and hero met her end at the hands of an old rival known as Faith. Slain in a temple to her own God, her body was consumed by the warped blade of her assailant. A magnificent statue of her likeness, perfect in every detail, was erected in rememberance. It stands in the courtyard of the Watar Manor, continuously lit by the warm glow of the sun. (See The End of the Beginning for an in-character re-telling)

The statue held the unhatched egg of her only offspring until it recently hatched. On the day it hatched, an unknown force of drow attacked the manor grounds and stole the egg. A young songstress and Ra'Manite named Vaiyra Songsteel, lead a bold expedition into the drow tunnels to rescue the egg. In honor of the successfull retrieval, A'nadra rewarded all of those involved and named the baby Golden Avariel after the songstress. Thus Vaiyra Kellei was born and is all that carries her mother's bloodline.
