Opole is a beautiful city in the south part of Poland on the River Odra.
It has a population of 128 000 people. In this town we have everything that we need:
art gallery, shopping centre, swimming pools, museums, cinemas, theatres, cafes, ice cream parlous, pubs,
restaurants, discos, philharmonic hall, skating rink, bowling, gyms, zoo etc.
We have also many sports fields and Odra Stadium which will be rebuilt soon.
In the center there's Market Square whith a huge Town Hall surrounded by old buildings, where at 12.00 o'clock trumpet-call is played.
There are organized parties or concerts, for example "Wielka Orkiestra Swiatecznej Pomocy".
In summer there are a lot of beer gardens where we can spend our free time,
but my favourite place is "Opolska Wenecja" - there are lovely illuminated and redecorated old buildings
on the Mlynowka canal, this is a fantastic view.
Opole is famous for "Krajowy Festiwal Piosenki Polskiej" which starts in June and attracts many people.

I love this city.
