finding, applying, and interviewing for jobs in higher education

Comparative Literature

UPDATED: 25 April 2007

(As of Dec 29) I found Penn State CompLit was interviewing candidates at the Embassy Suites today.
But this wiki shows no info about the Penn State CompLit search.

Q: Has anyone heard from Simon Fraser U (World Literature)?
A: SFU has scheduled campus interviews.
Offer made Feb 15, 2006

Why are they advertising then for a position with apps due May 7? Did you mean Feb, 2006 or 2007?
Maybe offer was declined? Also, the May 7th one, I think, is only a temporary one. ??

Has anyone heard from BYU?

Just curious: does anyone know what languages / fields they interviewed for?
I was interviewed for this one at the MLA, and work in Japanese and French. I
didn't get the sense that they were seeking particular languages, however, but
rather just the best all-round candidate.
ANS: in my impression, the ideal candidate is expected to master any 2 major languages/literatures.
